I don't even know where to start with Megan and Bruce. They are magic together and overall awesome people. When I arrived on their wedding day, Megan was mid-makeup and let me know there was something on the counter for me...wrapped up in a perfect gift was saltines, ginger candy, mini ginger ale cans, and mints to care for my morning sickness - SO KIND!!! While my house and heart have both been full of foster kittens, Megan has a HUGE heart for doggies and is not only active in rescues but has a number of beautiful babies (who were present at their first look) too! And about that first look - I love when couples choose things that are so meaningful to them and we were lucky to head to Megan's family home on the Pine Beach Peninsula for lakeside portraits.
As a photographer, I feel blessed when I get to know a couple more than just on their wedding day. For their engagement session we met up in Duluth and I had brought Ethan and Preston along while we spent time photographing them in the snow. There is something about couples who feel like family and Megan and Bruce have felt that way since the day we left Duluth. Bruce is also a fellow creative and it is always fun to work with other people who love imagery as much as I do!
While their wedding had to be adjusted a bit due to the pandemic, it was still BEYOND gorgeous with flowers and decor by Bloom Designs and the planning stress was handled perfectly by Sabrina with Adore Weddings. We talked life, pets, politics (eek!) as we took photos and made the best of the beautiful September day.
Megan and Bruce - I hope you love these images as much as I do and I look forward to seeing you both (and your pups!) hopefully in the near future. ;)
